OFF OUR SCREENS AND INTO THE STREETS
Walk the Walls. Hear the Stories.
There’s something different about standing in front of a mural with the story behind it.
Our Mending Walls RVA Walking Tours invite you to experience Richmond through public art, conversation, and community connection. Together, we’ll explore a selection of murals throughout downtown Richmond while sharing the stories, artists, partnerships, and moments that helped shape each wall.
These tours are about more than paint on brick. They are about listening. Curiosity. Shared experiences. And the belief that art can open doors to empathy and understanding.
Whether you’re visiting Richmond for the first time or have lived here your entire life, we hope this experience helps you see the city — and each other — a little differently.

Why We Created These Tours
Mending Walls RVA was founded on the belief that conversations can build bridges.
Since 2020, our project has brought together artists from different backgrounds to collaborate on public murals rooted in dialogue, empathy, and shared humanity. What began as a response to division has grown into a movement of public art, education, storytelling, and connection throughout Richmond.
These walking tours are an opportunity to step deeper into those stories and experience the heart behind the walls.
